When an evaluation may help
Individualized treatment
Your health history, cancer status, skin, sensation, symptoms, medications and precautions are reviewed before treatment.
Low-intensity infrared light is applied to selected treatment areas using the RianCorp device according to your individualized plan.
When appropriate, light therapy may complement compression, movement, skin care, education and other components of lymphedema management.
Symptoms, tissue quality, movement and relevant swelling measurements are monitored so the plan can be adjusted.
You will understand the purpose of the treatment, realistic expectations and the self-management steps that remain important.
Clarissa can coordinate with your oncology or medical team when clearance or additional clinical information is needed.
Your first visit
Your evaluation is designed to clarify what you are experiencing, identify priorities and create a realistic plan for daily life.
The RianCorp LTU-904 is FDA-cleared for use as part of a therapy regimen for post-mastectomy lymphedema. Low-level light therapy is not appropriate for everyone, is not applied over known or suspected cancerous lesions, and does not replace medical evaluation, compression or other indicated care. Results and insurance reimbursement vary.
