Lipedema care in Tucson

Support that recognizes the whole person—not just the symptoms.

Lipedema is a chronic condition involving disproportionate fatty tissue, most commonly in both legs and sometimes the arms. Care focuses on comfort, mobility, function and sustainable strategies rather than blame or unrealistic promises.

When an evaluation may help

An evaluation may help when the pattern feels different from ordinary weight gain.

Individualized treatment

Conservative care is tailored to your presentation.

01

Respectful assessment

A review of symptom pattern, tissue, swelling, mobility, strength, balance and how the condition affects daily life.

02

Movement planning

Low-impact and progressive activity selected for joint comfort, endurance, muscle support and your personal preferences.

03

Compression guidance

Education about potential benefits, comfort, fit and individualized use when compression is clinically appropriate.

04

Symptom strategies

Practical options for heaviness, tenderness, fatigue, swelling and activity pacing.

05

Lymphatic support

Assessment for signs of lymphatic involvement and appropriate integration of lymphedema-management principles.

06

Team coordination

Recommendations for medical follow-up or other specialists when diagnosis, vascular concerns or additional care needs clarification.

Your first visit

You will be heard, assessed and involved in the plan.

Your evaluation is designed to clarify what you are experiencing, identify priorities and create a realistic plan for daily life.

  1. Discuss your symptom history, previous care and the concerns most important to you.
  2. Assess tissue, swelling, movement, strength and functional challenges.
  3. Explain findings in plain language without weight stigma.
  4. Choose realistic strategies that fit your body, goals and daily routine.

Lipedema is diagnosed clinically and can overlap with other conditions. Physical therapy can support symptom management and function but does not promise a cure or removal of lipedema tissue.
